Asslam Alykum
On my behalf and on behalf of the academic and administrative staffs at the College of Engineering/ Almaaqal University, I welcome you most warmly and thank you for visiting this site, which I hope will be a distinguished and useful site and that you will find all the information you are looking for. The College of Engineering at Almaaqal University was established in 2020 and began its first academic year 2020-2021. The teaching plans and programs have been approved in its three departments (Oil & gas Engineering Department, Civil Engineering Department, and Computer & Control Engineering Department) to reflect the college’s role that derives from the university’s role in serving the visual community in particular and the Iraqi community in general and its development to simulate the requirements of the labor market and to align those programs with quality insurance and academic accreditation approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research In the Republic of Iraq and to ensure opening the way for the establishment of other required engineering disciplines.
In addition to the overall theoretical teaching that enhances engineering concepts, the College of Engineering at Almaaqal University pays special attention to the practical aspect and training in order to provide students with basic and professional skills related to engineering. Therefore, the engineering laboratories and workshops in the college were provided with the basic modern and advanced equipment that support the practical and applied aspects of the theoretical subjects, where in the various departments of the college there are more than –
specialized and computer laboratories and engineering ceremonies.
The philosophy of the College of Engineering at Almaaqal University is based on the search for engineering problem solutions, which enhance the interdependence between the academic and industrial sides, to contribute to the integration of college members in community service in the fields of oil, construction, and computer control over factories and their devices, automating their work, optimizing the work of devices at home and all other service facilities. The College of Engineering welcomes high school graduates or its equivalent who aspire to continue their engineering education, and the Deanship of the College of Engineering pledges to take the hands of all accepted students to take their first steps in the university and engineering life and to help charting their professional future to serve the community and the nation. Wishing a good luck to all.
